Our Story

In 2016, a handful of families who had a unified vision to serve Sumner County by planting a Free Will Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, began meeting for services in the home of Jesse and Tiffany Owens. By the spring of 2017, due to numerical growth, the congregation began gathering in the gymnasium of Station Camp Elementary School. Immanuel was officially established on March 4, 2018, as Immanuel Church, Free Will Baptist. During this time, the congregation started a home discipleship program and continued ministering to the Gallatin community.

In late 2019, the church voted to seek a new location; the Lord provided a place on the campus of Welch College. While meeting at Welch, we have experienced numerical growth, started age-graded Bible studies, and continued serving Sumner County.

Immanuel regularly ministers at NHC Place Sumner (assisted living), supports Grace Place Hendersonville and Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center, and supports missionaries in Bulgaria, France, and Japan.

Mission

To make, equip, and mobilize disciples to reach Sumner County and the nations for the glory of God.
